This 30th year will send our faculties on global assignments, yet most Institutes will be taught a bit closer to home. Co-founder Pat Boyd says, “We have graduates from every state and province in North America, and from over 40 countries.” Pat and Ty still are among the 2-person teams who teach ESI. For the fourth year, they return to Asia and Australia for a global client. Two of their daughters, Anne and Molly, are also faculty members, along with a diverse group of other skillful communicator/facilitators.

About our Founders: Ty Boyd, co-founder of the Ty Boyd Executive Learning Systems, began his business life as a broadcaster. During high school and at the University of North Carolina, Ty was a DJ. After two years in the Navy, he returned to radio/TV work. His focus on communications was a good one. Ty became an in-demand talent both on and off the air. He made it his responsibility to touch every one of his customers (viewers and listeners) in person. To do this, he filled 150 speaking engagements each year. It was in touching his customers in this manner that Ty realized how powerful these skills could be for others. Hence, a second and third career developed. Boyd emerged as broadcaster, professional speaker, and a teacher/coach of executive communications.
Pat Boyd, is a businesswoman, teacher, presenter, and communications coach. She is president of the Ty Boyd Executive Learning Systems (TBELS), and the Excellence in Speaking Institute (ESI). Earlier, Pat had been a principal in a successful travel business. She has been a TV spokesperson. She and Ty have authored publications, coached and mentored executives worldwide for over 20 years..
Pat and Ty have six children and eight grandchildren and consider themselves to be the two luckiest folks on planet earth!
